MSSI CAD Concept Design

During the summer of 2021, BLUElab Metro ideated with Washtenaw County's Mobile Support and Services Initiative (MSSI) to design buses that bring various resources to communities in need, including food, broadband internet, and medical services. This opportunity came out of our Innovation in Action project with MSSI. MSSI asked us to create a model of what an Ann Arbor Area Transit Authority bus would look like if it were cleared out and outfitted with different resources. We used SolidWorks to create a model of the deconstructed bus and then added furniture and appliances to an assembly. The assembly can be used to communicate with potential sponsors to more clearly show what MSSI is aiming to achieve with their design.
